Twelves steps (twelve grades) lead to the top where
a female diver is poised to jump into the future (graduation).
Between her and the other side is a metaphorical canyon and river
(dangers/risks/problems) which claim many. The other side
symbolizes the future for those willing to pursue positive
challenges. At the end of the metaphorical river, a chair (place
for contemplation) awaits. This refers to the times in a person's
life when one sits and reflects on what has gone on and what one
might do to learn from the past, etc.
